We believe that most of the value from trading coffee should remain in its economy of origin. That’s why we are creating a way for consumers to buy directly from Ethiopian producers who create jobs and opportunities at all levels of the supply chain - for growers, processors, roasters, and intermediaries. 

By contributing our marketing and distribution capacity to the partnership, we create market access for these producers, where they can compete with international corporations that dominate the industry.
Our philosophy is based not only on quality and the goal of supporting our local economy but also on the genuine desire to share the sacrosanct culture surrounding coffee consumption in Ethiopia.

We grew up seeing coffee as the central prop for communal bonding.  Whether in our cities or our villages, coffee is still an anchor grounding community life, a harbinger of conversations both serious and fun, and times intentionally carved out of the hectic and mundane everyday.
